In the Studio
After a long period and many late nights in the studio Dan finally finished the recordings and mixings of “Lascivious Girl.” Sound engineer Ralf Bruetting of Studio Soundlab was confronted with a big challenge working on such a diverse project, unlike all other projects he had worked on before. “Ralf and I are a great team in the studio,” Dan said in June 2013, “I am always surprised with what kind of passion and accuracy we both can work so well. It’s a great endowment to have him and work with him, I am really grateful for the many great years we could work together.” Ralf had functioned over the years as Dan’s primary mentor in the studio, where he trained Mr. Wilder in new production and arrangement methods as well as in mixing. Dan stated: “I have learned a lot in Ralf’s studio over the years that now I am well trained in the universality of music production; whenever artists I work for admire the work I manage to do in the studio, I always mention Ralf, our great years working together, and the many things he has taught me, because without him this development as a producer would most like not have been possible.”
As the end of a long journey the hit single was finally mastered by the Audio Mastering Service of mastering engineer Oliver Fabel, who himself took care of this significant project. Dan after receiving the master tracks: “Oliver has done a tremendous job mastering my songs, especially considering that all versions are of a different genre. Just amazing to see, and finally hear, how he has done his part to make Lascivious Girl what is now is.” The wait is over.
