Right after Dan's return to Germany the FIFA World Cup 2014 started—perfect timing for the former military member, soccer fan, and patriot. When exploring the rich variety of public viewing spots in the Rhein-Main region in the heart of Dan's home state Hesse, Frankfurt's own artist finally had to express "how amazing this beautiful country really is." He further stated that "the tournament itself is not only a great sports event but also an experience that welds an entire nation together, while it further incepts the international dialogue." Many of this close friends were excited to have him attend the big events to watch and support the German national team, which eventually became the new world champion after beating Argentina 1:0 in the tournaments final in extra time. "This is incredible and I struggle to find the right words," Dan said after the game, "I always believed in our team, despite many haters that for whatever reason pop up every now and then. Germany deserves to be on top of the world, and this experience, this July summer night will always be something that will be remembered."
