Momentum to Go: The 2012 Tonic

Dan’s first blow, which set the foundation for the successful series “Momentum to Go,” is a textual encouragement to step up and make one’s dreams come true. The blog is built around the famous poetry by Langston Hughes on ‘holding fast to dreams’ and ‘deferred dreams,’ as Dan points out the correlation of both entities in order to ultimately encourage his readership to not let ‘deferred’ success or dreams get in the way to achieving one’s goals at last. Inspired by long time friends Gina Gomez and Jillianne Mirate, who both used to write their own blogs, and Jessica Campbell, who shared her collection of poems with Dan, it was just a matter of time until the 2012 Tonic came together.

The blog begins with a short post on getting momentum and wanders through different stages, such as overcoming hardship, being patient, seeking and creating opportunities as well as distinct topics on being heroic, rewarding oneself, getting back on track, elapsing time, and never stopping once on the path to success. A large variety of topics is therefore covered by the blog, in which the primary attempts, to make one pursuit his or her dreams, is never neglected or diminished.

Textually the topics of the 2012 Tonic build a foundation, incept a process, and reveal a path to success, which is only limited to the effort one puts into it. Enjoy the pilot that paved the way for a successful series and get ready, ready to get momentum after all.
